Continuity is a thread that binds communities together, and this annual report was influenced by the role that Otto Bremer Foundations plays in strengthening communities. The founder of Bremer Banks, Otto Bremer, established the Foundation in 1944, creating a tradition of giving the profits of the banks back to the communities they serve. Although the foundation adapts to the current dynamics and needs of these locations, the grants are still based on Otto Bremer’s original wishes. These ideals inspired the design of this report, which reflects both the closely-stitched patchwork of the rural town to the neat grid at the heart of urban life.
